CEALS (Educational Center and Assistance La Salle Beira) is a transformative initiative of De La Salle Brothers in Beira, Sofala Province, Mozambique, dedicated to supporting communities affected by educational and social vulnerability. Through Informal and Alternative Education, CEALS provides literacy programs in reading, writing, and arithmetic for children, youth, and adults who have limited access to formal education.
Beyond academics, CEALS nurtures respect, strong values, and responsible citizenship. Learners are guided to respect themselves and others, appreciate cultural traditions, and contribute positively to their communities, fostering social harmony and dignity. CEALS currently also offers free vocational training in Tailoring and Information Technology (IT), empowering participants with practical and digital skills that promote self-reliance, employment, and social inclusion. These vocational courses, tend to be added more according to the needs.
