The above photo was captured during the blessing of the De La Salle Brothers’ new community house at Idoa, in the Diocese of Uromi, Edo State. The ceremony took place on 5 September 2026. The Brothers who will reside in the newly opened community are Br. Patrick Obam, FSC (Community Director), Br. Benedict Njor, FSC (Coordinator of Apostolate), and Br. Aondohemba Emmanuel, FSC (Community Bursar).
The local chief, dressed in a red robe and white cap, attended the event accompanied by three of his aides. The Vicar General of Uromi Diocese, Rev. Fr. Francis Omolumen, presided over the blessing on behalf of the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Donatus Ogun, OSA. Also present was Rev. Fr. Francis Obaweiki, the parish priest of the neighboring community. Br. Godwin Biin, FSC, together with Br. Julius Adi, FSC, from the Ondo community, graced the occasion as well, adding to the joyful spirit of the celebration.
